KJVI got its authorization for the construction permit from the Federal Communication Commission in January 1, 2014 and on December 29,2015 they granted the modifications to the construction permit. With this modification KJVI is now authorized to operate at 6,000 watts Effective Radiated Power. Its license is to Robert Lee, Texas, and covers Ballinger, Bronte, Carlsbad, Grape Creek, Miles, Norton, Rowena, San Angelo, and Tennyson.
