Dr. Anna Shustack, Board Member & Professor of Social Work
Dr. Shustack provides tips for overcoming the ‘holiday blues’, made worse this year because of the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic. She also talks about warning signs to look for to identify if someone is in serious need of professional help.
Coppola talks about the various online programs and zoom groups that are available for people with mental health issues, parents of children with mental health issues, and those who are in recovery.

Segment 2 – MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) – 13:29
Guest – Heather Geronomous, National Board Chair
                Geronomous talks about the progress MADD has made in advocating for technology as a preventive measure to drunk driving. Alcohol Interlocks are in use in 34 states to prevent intoxicated drivers from being able to start their car; more advanced technology is available and MADD is pushing for that to be standard in cars. Geronomous also offers suggestions for enjoying the holidays safely, by planning ahead, and avoiding a potentially fatal accident.
