Major Carr talks about their 2nd Annual ‘Out of the Cold’ program which provides a place for homeless people to sleep on nights when the temperature drops below 35.  The program is free for those who need assistance. He also runs down their annual Holiday fundraisers and gift drives for children. The Angel Tree initiative begins Monday, November 2nd, with trees at Sunset Mall and all 3 Walmart Stores locally. Donors can choose a child’s name and gift preferences from the tree, purchase the items onsite and leave the gifts at the store to be delivered on December 18th. Anyone who would like to register their child up to 12 years old should visit the Salvation Army any day between 10am and 3pm.  The Red Kettle Program kicks off in mid-November, and all bell ringers will be provided with masks & face guards to stay safe during the Covid 19 pandemic.
