San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts WEB SITE
Guest: Bekah Coleman, Curator for Educational Programs
Coleman shares the history of the Museum and how it was created out of resources that are native to San Angelo, such as Limestone and Mesquite Firewood. She talks about the Museum’s educational programs, with regular school tours, and the approximately 30,000 Community members they serve each year. To accommodate safety guidelines for Covid-19, the Museum began creating ‘to-go’ art kits, with all the project material already packaged; they hand out about 1800 of these free kits per week. They also provide virtual educational and art programs so people can participate from home until it’s once again safe to have large groups in person at the Museum.
